3.1 Develops, articulates, and coordinates curriculum based on clearly- defined expectations for student learning, including essential knowledge and skills
3.1 a - The school has collaboratively developed and implemented a coherent, rigorous curriculum derived from research based standards/expectations in all four core subject areas (English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies) that provides opportunities for all students to acquire requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
3.1 b - The school has created documents in multiple formats that illustrate the alignment of the curriculum with required standards/expectations in core subject areas (English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies).
3.1 c - Curriculum is evaluated and revised when required standards/expectations are modified with the participation of staff members and stakeholders. The chief criterion for evaluating effectiveness is student achievement.
3.1 d - Teachers conduct high quality formative assessments during the course of a lesson or unit to provide themselves and their students with concrete information on how to guide learning and improve individual student performance.
